English Spanish Dictionary C. App Reviews

Although this version is only partial, as we are warned by the editor, it is by far the most complete of all free apps offering a spanish <> english dictionary. I used it while reading "el pais", a popular spanish daily newspaper, and could find, listed in it, every single word I checked. None of the other free apps i tried favorably compares to it. Lots of thanks !!

The panels are not changing from portrait to landscape together. One stays one way and the other the other way.

This app is amazing, its very help full, the pictures help a lot. The best part is that is a free app. Lol

I downloaded this app for use on my previous generation iPod Touch running iOS 3.1.3 and it would not work at all.

Its maravilloso to have English/Spanish at our fingertips along with sound to aid in the pronounciation of our new language. Gracias

Its not bad. Im not crazy about the layout of it. I do like that it provides synonyms for words. And pictures at times. It would be good you could tap on the picture to see it bigger though. Thumbnails arent always as clear. This app does freeze/ go blank at times though and Im not sure why. Still a good app, I use it everyday.

Does exactly as claimed

Its wonderful! I dont need a translation app any more.

Im using the Compact version and I find it really useful, especially for its translations of idiomatic phrases that you could never interpret word by word. I dont know what extras you get with the full version but I think Im ready to plonk down some cash if there are enough extra features.

Good app for the most part, I like having conjugations and idiomatic phrases. However its a pain to scroll through a list of conjugations to find what you are looking for. A table format in landscape would probably be better, if you could quickly select the tense but it does work as is. The search bar is also buggy and doesnt recognize my tap half the time, which is annoying.

Great tool for a daily use

Ive now used it on two separate trips to Cuba where Internet access is impossible at best and it works without fail. Ive recommended to other friends as well and they love it as much as I do. Very easy to use and when switching the primary language to Spanish, my Cuban friends could type in a translation to English for me. A Must have tool in Cuba. Dont leave home without it if you dont speak Spanish! 5 stars all the way! The only translator youll need!

Just love this app. Very handy and helps me learn Spanish much faster.

Simply put, Im at a language school in Costa Rica, and most of the other students either ask for the name of this one, or let me look everything up because its better than what they have. Not perfect - still the odd missing word - but pretty much perfect for my needs.

Subject line says it all. Dont waste your money on any other app. This one just works and works beautifully.

This is my "go to" dictionary for Spanish class. Just enter either the Spanish or English word, and up will come both the translation and some synonyms. I find it especially useful for deciding which synonym is most appropriate. I also greatly appreciate the opportunity to listen to the word.
